Comfort Letter vs. Freedom of Information Requests

Unsure if the information you are seeking should be made as a Comfort Letter or a Freedom of Information Request?

What to do if you have a complaint regarding a request for access to records?

If you have tried to resolve your complaint directly with the Town and remain unsatisfied with the resolution, or if they did not respond to your complaint, you can request a review by contacting the office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia

Complete the Freedom of Information Request

The FOIPPA can only be used to request copies of recorded information and not to pose questions for which responses are required. Please phrase your request accordingly. Include the date or time frame for the records, if applicable, and be as specific as possible in the details. This will assist in processing your request.

There is a $10 application fee for this record. The Town will reach out to coordinate payment.
